(SPOT.ph) Rail lines serving Metro Manila and nearby areas will continue regular operations during the Undas long weekend in anticipation of the influx of passengers traveling and visiting their loved ones on All Saints' Day.
The management of MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 assured the public that they have enough personnel in their stations and train cabs to ensure the safety of passengers as they flock cemeteries and tourism sites during the long weekend.
Regular weekend and holiday schedules will be implemented in all train lines in Metro Manila during the Undas long weekend to make sure that passengers will get to their destinations safely and on time.
What are the train schedules for the Undas long weekend?
Here are the schedules for MRT-3, LRT-1, and LRT-2 from October 29 to November 1:
MRT-3
- First trip from North Avenue Station: 4:38 a.m.
- First trip from Taft Avenue Station: 5:19 a.m.
- Last trip from North Avenue Station: 9:30 p.m.
- Last trip from Taft Avenue Station: 10:09 p.m.
LRT-1
- First trip from Balintawak and Baclaran Stations: 4:30 a.m.
- Last trip from Balintawak Station: 9:30 p.m.
- Last trip from Baclaran Station: 9:15 p.m.
LRT-2
- First trip from Recto and Antipolo Statons: 5 a.m.
- Last trip from Recto Station: 9:30 p.m.
- Last trip from Antipolo Station: 9 p.m.
Recto and Antipolo Stations will close five minutes before the last train leaves.
What are the other safety preparations?
A Commuter Welfare Desk will be deployed in every MRT-3 station to assist passengers during the Undas long weekend. Other announcements will also be announced through the train lines' PA system.
Security marshalls will also continue to respond to the concerns of passengers on LRT-1 and LRT-2 trains.
Passengers are reminded to continue observing minimum health standards like wearing of face masks, frequent disinfection, and social distancing while inside the trains.
