(SPOT.ph) Feeling the heat? Not to worry—a giant aircon is helping commuters cool off at a bus stop in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
This larger-than-life aircon isn’t just a display, it's a genuine, functioning appliance operated by Carrier Philippines from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.
And yes, it really does work: Carrier touts it as being able to lower ambient temperatures by 10 degrees at the minimum. It's also self-sustaining, using nine solar panels to minimize electrical consumption. This makes it the first and only air-conditioned bus stop in the Philippines. We can already imagine all the “lalabas ‘yung aircon” jokes being made while there.
“While Bonifacio Global City is well known for its many art installations, the Carrier Cool Spot may well be the coolest of them all,” Carrier Philippines wrote in a press release.
