Hate working out? We've got just the thing.
Our favorite new secret: a way to work out while walking around the mall.
You tell yourself: It's not your fault that succulent lechon was too inviting. It's not your fault those velvet cupcakes were just too… velvety. It's not your fault it was too rainy to jog. It's not your fault you had too much work to go to the gym.
We'll let you in on a secret: now you can work out while walking around the mall. Reebok's new EasyTone line promises to tone your butt (specifically the gluteus maximus muscle) by 28 percent and your thighs and calves by 11 percent more than the usual sneakers, according to a study conducted by the University of Delaware.
Balance pods on the soles of the shoes make it feel kind of like you're walking on round pieces of rubber or foam, getting your leg and butt muscles to do some extra work just by walking (if you're like us, that's a very good thing). "It's like standing on a fitness ball. You don't have to lug around the equipment because it's on your feet," says Vanessa Vassallo, Reebok global instructor.
Finally, you can have your cake and burn it, too.
