Bazaar Highlights: Scoping out the American Women’s Bazaar
SPOT.ph did some window-shopping to help you navigate the upcoming American Women’s Bazaar on Tuesday, December 1.
Not all bazaars are created equal. SPOT.ph scoped out the American Women’s Bazaar at the World Trade Center (back again on December 1) to let you in on some fabulous finds for the people on your Christmas gift list.
1. Jewelry from Bohemian Nation
Bohemian Nation offers a virtual treasure trove of chunky gemstone jewelry. We liked their unique and well-crafted items from India, which are sure to please friends who love one-of-a-kind and offbeat, pretty pieces. Prices start at P1,000.
2. Leyende organic products
Locally-made Leyende products makes eco-friendly shopping more accessible with face and body products that steer clear of sulfate and do good for the recipient, and for the world. We especially loved the No Rumple Silk
Skin Butter range (P380), with yummy scents such as lavender, tropical mango, vanilla coconut and berry with green tea.
3. Body Food
Environment and pocket-friendly, these hand-made and natural products tell your friends that you really care. Using only the finest ingredients, new mother Ana Kamila Niguidula creates bath and body products for babies and mommies, or those who just need to make the switch to all-natural to whip skin into healthy shape.
We slathered on the Skin Relief Butter (P600 for a 125 ml bar), which can also be used to shoo away stretch marks for mothers-to-be, and felt our skin get noticeably softer after a few minutes. Their massage bars (P250 per half bar) also
come in pretty floral paper tied with twine, which makes for instant gifts. Lip balms and bug bite ointments start at P150.
4. Origami Treasures
Note cards, bookmarks and ornaments made from Washi (a type of paper made in Japan), are cute stocking stuffers from Origami Treasures. The Washi eggs and the doll collection are perfect for friends with Japanese-inspired homes while the note cards and bookmarks with kimonos, geishas and origami fans are too cute not to pass around.
5. Gingerbread Cookies from Una Creations
More than just Ifugao products, modern Filipiniana ensembles and raingear, Una Creations also sells deliciously tasty gingerbread cookies. Cute to look at and even better to eat, nothing adds cheer more than cookies to munch on while welcoming Christmas Day. Grab a dozen to give away, they’re bound to win over the sweet-toothed loved ones on your gift list.
