More 2010 Planners (You might wish you’d gotten one of these instead)
Still can’t find your perfect planner? Here are five more planners to choose from.
Didn’t find your perfect planner in last year’s SPOT.ph story, "10 Power Planners?" Here, more choices for 2010.
Perfect for: The anti-establishment
Why you should get it: Called "Not The Planner" for short, this one pokes fun (in Taglish) at the various planners available in the market. It features original artwork by Karl Castro, the artist behind the book cover of Ricky Lee’s Para Kay B, for each month. Quirky notes ("Happy 32nd birthday Papa Piolo") and quotes ("August: Kung single ka at unhappy, four months na lang, pasko na. Ni-remind ko lang din, but you can panic") give the planner a playful punch. It also has yearly calendars, customized scratch papers, and a "useful and useless" conversion table. Setting itself apart from most planners, Not The Planner is square (6x6 inches to be exact). It is wire bound and the cover is stamped with a metallic copper artwork.
Extras: Unapologetically none.
How to get it: Not The Planner is available for P320. Call or text Chinggay at (0906) 465-2191, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Meeting places include Robinsons Galleria, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, The Podium, Shangri-La Mall, Trinoma, Glorietta, Greenbelt, University of the Philippines Diliman, and Timog and Katipunan area. For regional orders, the owners also ship via courier. Enjoy special discounts when you order in bulk.
Perfect for: The bubbly babe
Why you should get it: Bright and colorful, the hardbound planner has doodle pages, monthly and yearly calendars, a different divider design per month, and a functional pocket. It also doubles as a photo album since you can stick 3R photos on some of the pages. Created by siblings and students Christine and Sheryl Tan, this planner is the third in the series.
How to get it: Available for P495 when you order through their Multiply site (includes free shipping nationwide), and for P520 when you buy at selected National Bookstore branches in Metro Manila. Bulk orders have special discounts: P25 discount each for a minimum of five pieces, P45 for 10 pieces, and P95 for 20 pieces.
Perfect for: The wanderlust-prone
Why you should get it: Bitten by the travel bug or not, you’ll love Navi’s travel-inspired pages. The weekly planner has a little over 20 blank pages where you can document your daily adventures. It has a vacation planner, expense tracker, space for your weekly and monthly priorities, plus "101 Steps for 2010" (tour a candy factory, ride a bike to work, vote). From the people behind the Belle de Jour Power Planner, Navi is for those "who prefer not so perky colors and love space." Navi is dedicated to Mio Mendiola, a five-year-old boy diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Extras: Coupons from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Italianni’s, Fish & Co., Cheesecake Etc., Flapjacks, Cupcakes by Sonja, The White Hat, Pizza Hut, T. G. I. Friday’s, Ace Water Spa, The Spa, Pulse Yoga and Red Box.

The hardbound weekly planner has monthly dividers featuring illustrations of some of the pieces Torralba did for Paperdolls. There’s a notes section after every month and space for contacts in the last few pages of the planner. It also includes a brief summary of Paperdolls’ history and their collaboration with Torralba.
How to get it: For every purchase of P2,500 worth of regular items, a customer is entitled to one free planner, which should be redeemed on the same day of purchase. The planner is available in SM Department Stores nationwide and the Kate Torralba Store in Greenbelt 5 until January 31 or until supplies last.
