10 Things We’re Loving Now: A bunny pen, language bangles, a funky lamp + more

Our finds this week tell us that we want a vacation...

(SPOT.ph) In case you were wondering, we’re not over our Typo fascination. We just keep finding more and more things to love from that store. We’re in a vacation mindset with language bangles, foldable trays, a handy travel kit, and a summery sweater for the rainy weather.

Departure Portable Travel Tray (P590)

We're actually not sure what the difference is between putting our keys in this tray and putting it on another flat surface-like a bare table, perhaps?-but we like that someone thought of it anyway. It's a handy travel companion that keeps all your odds and ends together when you’re staying at a hotel, saving you the hassle of running around and looking for everything before checking out. The foldable feature saves a good amount of luggage space, too!

Available at The Travel Club

Language Bangles (P390)

Going overseas? There’s no need to fear a language barrier with these handy bangles. They’re adorned with useful symbols that are universal in any country, such as hospitals, ATMs, and restaurants. Plus, they come in a variety of bright colors to match your outfit.

Funka Bamboo Lamps (P1,400)

There's always good reason behind supporting local products and taking care of the environment. To help you light the way, we recommend this funky Funka lamp which uses sustainable and indigenous materials (bamboo and abaca) with LED light bulbs-all sourced and handcrafted in Rizal Province. Plus, they're not bulky at all which makes them suitable for small spaces, whether at home or at the office. Add them on to your Christmas list to start your eco-friendly gift-giving habit.

For orders, e-mail funka.bamboo@gmail.com or visit their Facebook page.

Bunny Pen (P199)

It’s September, which means you should start doing your holiday shopping. We suggest hoarding cute pens from Typo for your officemates. We know we’d love to unwrap this bunny.

Available at Typo

Pineapple Sweater (P1,300)

We need something tropical to brighten up the gloomy weather we've been getting lately. This sweater will keep us warm and it makes us excited for summer!

Available at Neon Island

Travelon Smart Tubes (P890/two)

Traveling light can often be a challenge especially for the ladies, with shampoo, makeup, lotion, and other toiletries to consider. These nifty containers could do the trick: they're made of silicone so they’re light and flexible, plus they come in cute colors. These two-ounce containers promise not to leak or spill any personal care products or other liquids that you decide to stash in your luggage.

Magnetic Bookmarks: Paris (P270)

Look: a poodle with a beret. Not that reading alone doesn’t transport people to distant places...but poodle wearing a beret. Hard to resist.

Available at Fully Booked

Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods (P1,049 in hardbound)

Learn about the origins of the gods of Olympus doesn’t have to be a snoozefest. In true Rick Riordan spirit, he tells the fascinating stories of Greek mythology with the help of Percy Jackson’s colorful commentary and sarcastic asides. The hardbound version is colorfully illustrated so you can put a face to that backstabbing god you’re reading about.

Available at National Book Store

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics (P449.75)

We can’t get enough of these and can’t wait till Goody decides to bring more colors (or prints!) to the Philippines. We’d buy a whole bunch and stash an elastic in our bags, cars, bathroom cabinets...okay, everywhere, basically.

Available at department stores

Lourd de Veyra’s Little Book of Speeches (P195)

We love it when speeches don’t put us to sleep, and these definitely will not. Filled with worldly wisdom, sharp insight, and colorful cuss words, this compilation of SPOT.ph blogger Lourd de Veyra’s speeches is one of those books that you’ll be sure to end up reading again and again. Check out our preview.
