3 Reasons You’ll Love Liz Uy’s Lipstick Collaboration with Happy Skin
Check out the three new shades that will bring a smile to your lips!
(SPOT.ph) "Lipstick is a part of your wardrobe," says celebrity stylist Liz Uy, a self-proclaimed lipstick lover-she has drawers and drawers of them. Today, February 5, she launched her very first limited edition lipstick line in collaboration with Happy Skin, inspired by her best-selling book "StyLIZed: Liz Uy’s Ten Style Essentials." This collaboration is a marriage of fashion and beauty, with happiness written all over it-the lippies are named fashion related things that make a woman happy ("24 Carats"? "Red Carpet"? Yes, please!).
Packaged in a very StyLIZed way, the box is covered with tiny drawings of Liz’s style essentials that are featured in her book, because she believes that lippies are just as essential. She describes these lippies as fit for "the woman who is independent, feminine, and fashionable."
Here are three reasons why we think you’ll love this lipstick line:
1. They’ll complement your skin tone
The limited-edition Happy Skin StyLIZed Shut Up & Kiss Me lippies come in three different colors: 24 Carats, a bubblegum pink, Style Icon, a peachy nude, and the bright scarlet Red Carpet (P599 each). The celeb stylist explains that she chose these colors because they’re usually the shades that Filipinas could wear without worrying about looking too outrageous compared to, say, wearing a plum-colored lipstick.
2. You can easily match them with anything, or blend two colors together to create unique shades
Who says you can only wear the bright red lippie with nude, black, and white? You can wear anything with a shocking red lip, says Liz. She also shares her personal trick-blend two (or more) lipsticks together to create a shade that’s unique to you. She recommends blending the nude and the pink lippies by layering them on to see the different shades you can achieve.
3. They’ll keep your lips hydrated
Like all of Happy Skin’s lip colors, these won’t dry your pout. Glide the lippies on and you’ll see that not only do they give great pigmentation, they also leave you with just the right kind of shiny aside from being well-hydrated thanks to Shea butter and collagen.
