Labubu Fever: Pinoy Stars Share Their Love for the Fuzzy Dolls

(SPOT.ph) It’s far too late to stop it—the Labubu craze is steamrolling over the Philippines. No one’s exempt from the adorable little creatures capturing hearts with its wide eyes and playful fangs. Although Labubu first appeared in 2015 as part of Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung’s The Monsters toy series by POP MART, it wasn’t until this year that it truly exploded in popularity.
The spark? A video of Blackpink’s Lisa cuddling a Labubu plushie and a photo of her rocking a Labubu charm on her bag. With the approval of one of the queens of K-pop, suddenly, Labubu was everywhere.
But now there’s no need to chase K-pop stars for Labubu inspo anymore. The craze has hit our shores big time, our local celebrities included. They're proudly showing off their growing collections of the fuzzy dolls on Instagram. Exactly which stars have joined the Labubu bandwagon?
