Adidas launched the new Fluid Trainer collection, lightweight training shoes for men and women, simultaneously on August 14 at the Rockwell, Greenbelt 3 and Trinoma branches.
Dance group Groovejackz and members of the Philippine Parkour and Freerunning Association presented a short parkour demonstration that showcased the flexibility of the trainers at the Greenbelt 3 branch of Adidas. Actor John Lloyd Cruz, also a celebrity supporter of the Adidas Philippine Range, said he found the training shoes "perfect for (his) daily activities." Aside from DJ Slick Rick of Boys’ Night Out and Lia Cruz of Basketball TV who both hosted the event, the band Itchyworms and Kevin Alas of NCAA’s Letran Knights were also seen at the launch.
At the Rockwell launch, Aerofunk performed, and RX 93.1 DJs Francesca Tobias and Gino Quillamor hosted the event. Spotted were actress Iza Calzado, singers Karylle and Luke Mijares, fashion icon Tessa Prieto-Valdes, band Sponge Cola, reporter Ginger Conejero, Alaska Aces’ Larry Fonacier, San Miguel Beermen’s Jonas Villanueva, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters’ Jeff Chan, and Poomsae World Champion Janice Lagman.
Meanwhile, dancer-actor Rayver Cruz and RX 93.1 DJ Gelli Victor started off the launch at the Adidas Trinoma store with a Body Jam demo. UAAP players like Jeric Teng of the Growling Tigers, and Mike Silungan and Woody Co of the Fighting Maroons gamely joined Cruz and Victor. Jam 88.3 DJ Eric Tipan and former MYX VJ Drei Felix hosted the event.
The Fall/Winter 2010 Fluid Trainer collection starts at P3,895 and is available at the Adidas Sports Performance stores, and selected Proline, Toby’s, and SM sport shops.
