Olay Philippines ambassadors Miriam Quiambao, Daphne Osena Paez, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo and Ines Delgado-Prieto celebrated with the anti-aging brand last week at the Peninsula Manila Hotel in Makati.
During the luncheon, the story of Olay was traced back to the ’50s, when South African chemist Graham Wulff created a new facial moisturizer--different from the thick, greasy skin creams then--for his wife Dinah. Through trial and error, Oil of Olay Beauty Fluid was born. Decades later, Olay Total Effects, which promises to fight seven signs of skin aging, was launched in South East Asia in 2000. After six years, it was launched in the Philippines.
Paez, who is a TV host, linens and furniture designer, and United Nations Children’s Fund ambassador, said, "I like that Olay Total Effects lets me skip many (beauty) steps. As you know, I’m a busy woman: I run my own show, I’m raising my three children, I’m hands-on at home, and I’m starting a few businesses. Time is very important to me."
