Inauguration Fashion: Filipiniana, Celebrity Style
The June 30 presidential inauguration held at the Quirino Grandstand on June 30 was attended by celebrities who paid homage to Filipiniana fashion, reports GMAnews.tv.
Among those present at the inauguration were Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz; Richard Gomez who wore a barong by Randy Ortiz with wife and newly-elected Ormoc Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez in a pink gown by Joe Salazar; and Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez who performed during the inauguration.
Charice Pempengco had two gowns for the inauguration: a pink gown for interviews and a yellow and black terno by Avel Bacudio that she wore when she sang the Philippine national anthem. The gowns were a gift from her ninang, Kris Aquino.
Sharon Cuneta and husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan with daughter KC Concepcion were also present. KC Concepcion wore an off-white Jun Escario gown.
Tessa Prieto Valdes was all dolled up in a colorful terno with a matching headdress while Marian Rivera was in a baby pink terno, escorted by actor Dingdong Dantes. Actress and stylista Gretchen Barretto came in a simple but elegant gown, with a rope of pearls on her neck.
Also spotted: Coco Martin and Kim Chiu who arrived with actress Cherry Pie Picache; Bing Loyzaga was seated beside Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski. Other celebrities present were Mariel Rodriguez, Christian Bautista, Bianca Gonzalez, Jed Madela, ABS-CBN President Charo Santos-Concio, and presidential stylist, Liz Uy.
