Take an eating crash course on Indonesian cuisine at Seven Corners until October 20.
From September 20 to October 20, Seven Corners at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila highlights the culinary diversity of Indonesian cuisine in "All About Spices: Discovering Indonesia's Culinary Treasure," a food festival featuring the contrasting flavors and textures of Indonesian dishes. Guest chefs Chef Chairul Salim, Chef Hendro Sutikno and Chef Riki Maolana from Intercontinental Jakarta MidPlaza will prepare popular Indonesian dishes known for their use of coconut milk, spices and rice.
Aside from the Indonesian national dish Nasi Goreng and its popular variations, the spread will also have Beef Rendang; Gulai Kepala Ikan (Fish Head Curry); Gulai Tahu (Fried Tofu in Spicy Coconut Milk); satays; Gado Gado, (a salad with cooked and raw vegetables either topped or tossed in peanut sauce); Temple Plenyet (pressed Bean Cake with Sambal); and Sambal Goreng Daging (Beef in Sambal Sauce).
