TV Patrol World report
International Pinay singing sensation Charice received standing ovations during the "David Foster & Friends" concert on October 23, reports ABS-CBNNews.com. For the 10,000-strong crowd at the Araneta Coliseum, Charice sang her hit single "Pyramid," and covered Celine Dion’s "Power of Love," "To Love You More" and "All by Myself." She also performed a medley of songs from the movie The Bodyguard, according to ChariceDiva.eu.

Before Charice came out to sing, her mentor, famed songwriter-producer David Foster, told the crowd, "Twenty five years ago, I told Celine (Dion), ’One day, you’re going to be known by your first name and you’re going to sing with Barbra Streisand.’ And that happened. I told your little one (Charice) at age 16 that she’s going to sing with Celine and she’s going to be known by her first name." Indeed, the 18-year-old singer has sung with the Canadian diva, and is known worldwide simply as Charice.
Grammy-winning singer Natalie Cole, former Chicago frontman Peter Cetera, American Idol winner Ruben Studdard and the Canadian Tenors also performed at the concert. The next stop of the "David Foster & Friends" Asian tour is Thailand. Next year, Charice will go on her first solo tour, and Foster may hold a singing contest in the Philippines, reports ABS-CBNNews.com.
