10 Most Unusual Ice Cream Flavors to Try
No vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry on this list-ready for malunggay, beer and bleu cheese ice cream?
(SPOT.ph) Unusual (and sometimes downright weird) ice cream flavors is a growing trend all over the world. For instance, French gourmet ice cream company Philippe Faur is known for spawning caviar and foie gras flavored ice cream, while in Japan, you'll find squid ink ice cream and octopus ice cream among the country’s most eyebrow-raising flavors. All the way in San Gimignano, Italy, the famed Gelateria di Piazza has become known worldwide for flavors like pink grapefruit and sparkling wine ice cream, and saffron and pine nut cream. And that’s just naming a few.
Because ice cream parlors continue to push the envelope with more interesting and adventurous flavors, people have become bolder with their ice cream choices, veering away from the usual chocolate and vanilla. With more than a hundred flavors around town, SPOT.ph picked the 10 most unusual and delicious ice cream flavors in Manila. Who knows, these out-of-the-ordinary flavors might just become your new favorites.
