Regine Velasquez admits she’s seven weeks pregnant

(SPOT.ph) Confirming rumors of her pregnancy, singer Regine Velasquez revealed yesterday that she is seven weeks pregnant, reports PEP.ph.

In a video shown on Party Pilipinas, she apologized to friends and press people for not announcing it sooner. She also thanked the GMA-7 management for allowing her to pull out from her romantic-comedy series I ♥ You Pare. Velasquez, who is turning 41 on April 22, said her doctor advised her to "stay in bed for a while" because her pregnancy is a bit difficult. 

Velasquez added that she believes she is carrying a baby boy whom she will name Herminio Jr. after the real name of her husband Ogie Alcasid. "This is probably one of the happiest birthdays na nagkaroon ako. My wish is for my baby to be healthy. And kahit ano, kahit babae o lalaki, maganda sana kung twins, sana healthy lang siya," PEP.ph quoted her as saying.

("This is probably one of my happiest birthdays. My wish is for my baby to be healthy, whether we have a boy or a girl, or even twins.")
