True Deli in Quezon City stocks goodies like fresh milk, sausages and ham-the usual things you’ll find in a neighborhood deli-except at this spot, everything is locally sourced and proudly Pinoy. Sauerkraut sausages, kesong puti, fresh milk, bread and bottles of jam decorate the deli display, and yet its dine-in menu that lures customers to stay.
A farm-to-table restaurant, the all-Pinoy menu uses ingredients and products made from their Nueva Ecija farm. According to owner True Santos, lunch crowd favorites include Kesong Puti Pillows (P55), a serving of deep-fried tasty kesong puti with calamansi vinaigrette; Sizzling Lomo ng Baboy (P220); and Dinakdakan (P185). Dessert goes beyond a scoop of sorbetes-their popular Kesong Puti Tsiskeyk (starts at P50 per slice) is a must-try for cheesecake fans. More grainy than creamy, True Deli’s soft and tasty cheesecake uses kesong puti, flaunting subtle vanilla flavors without the bold tartness of cream cheese. It can be topped with sorbetes or blueberry sauce, but True Deli’s not too-sweet arnibal also does the trick.
Other menu options include Litson Pato (half order is P700), Sisig Pato (P200), and Pritong Pugo (P300) while deli display has duck ham and sausages for diners to take home.
