(SPOT.ph) Vibal Publishing Foundation will release through iTunes an electronic version of Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tangere on July 1, reports GMA News. According to Vibal's Fidelis Tan, the e-book is styled like an animated graphic novel with "beautiful illustrations, an immersive score, and the option to read the tale in Spanish or English."
Â
Tan said iPad users will have a "richer reading experience" as the love story between Crisostomo Ibarra and Maria Clara is retold with "a unique parallax effect for illustrations," making the images look three-dimensional.
Â
Also slated for release on July 1 is Vibal's interactive e-book of the fable The Monkey and The Tortoise. The Foundation is also working on a bilingual edition of Noli Me Tangere with a "lavish" leather-bound cover and an introduction by Rizal scholar Ambeth Ocampo.
