(SPOT.ph) Say, "Ciao!" to contemporary Italian cinema with the traveling film festival called Moviemov: Italian Cinema Now happening from November 9 to 13 at Greenbelt 3, Cinemas 3, 4, and 5.

The first Moviemov in the country, with the theme "Buon compleanno, Italia!" or "Happy birthday, Italy!" puts together topnotch present-day Italian flicks as well as tributes to renowned Italian directors Dario Argento and Bernardo Bertolluci, and award-winning Filipino director Brillante Mendoza.

Included in the Italian showcase are comedy films Mine Vaganti (Loose Cannons) and Che Bella Giornata (What a Beautiful Day); drama flicks Habemus Papam, Una Vita Tranquilla (A Quiet Life), Vincere (Victory), and Corpo Celeste; and the docu-musical Passione.

Featured Bertolluci films include Ultimo Tango A Parigi (Last Tango in Paris), L’Ultimo Imperatore (The Last Emperor), The Dreamers, and Il Conformista (The Conformist). If you’re a horror movie fan, don’t miss the screenings of Argento’s thrillers Dracula 3D, Suspiria, and Profondo Rosso (Deep Red) and get a shot of some Pinoy pride with screenings of Brillante Mendoza’s Serbis, Kinatay, and Lola.
