GMA News Online reports that Ang Galing party-list Rep. Mikey Arroyo was able to leave the country on Thursday eveningt (November 17) "unhindered by the Department of Justice and with approval to travel from the Quezon City Regional Trial Court where he has a pending tax evasion case."

Arroyo was on a 10:30 p.m. flight to San Francisco. He said he will "meet some members of the Filipino community and to gather donations for his constituents."

QC Judge Marie Christian Jacob determined that a bond totaling P180,000 was enough to ensure Arroyo's return to the country. That’s P60,000 for each of the three tax evasion charges filed against him. The judge’s order allows him to stay in the U.S. until December 17.
