Pop star Katy Perry, comedian Russell Brand are getting divorced

Agence France-Presse (AFP), via Interaksyon.com, reports that British comedian Russell Brand, 36, filed for divorce on Friday, December 30, to end his marriage to U.S .pop star Katy Perry, 27. The couple were married in October 2010 in India.

In his statement, Brand said, "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends." In court documents, he cited "irreconcilable differences" as a reason for divorce.
