ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "after enjoying a lower terminal fee for almost a month, passengers will have to pay the higher terminal fee of ₱750 again soon." The fee was brought down to ₱550 effective February 1. DOTC Secretary Mar Roxas said the extra funds are needed for operations and maintenance of the airport terminals.
The report cited the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC), who revealed that the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) will "reapply its application for imposing an additional P200 to the current P550 terminal fee."*** (Please read the note below.)
The report did not say when the ₱750 terminal fee will start being collected again.

***Note: In the ABS-CBNNews.com report, the passage reads: "According to the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC), Manila International Airport Authority will reapply its application for imposing an additional P250 to the current P500 terminal fee." A reader pointed out the disparity in the figures cited in the first paragraph and those in the second one so the correction was made. We assumed it was a typo. However, ABS-CBNNews.com may have another explanation for the disparity.
