ANC: Robinsons Galleria money changer reportedly robbed; 1 dead in mall grenade blast

On the ANC 24/7 Facebook page, this breaking news was posted just minutes ago, today, March 29: "From a DZMM report: Money changer sa loob ng Robinsons Galleria mall, hinoldap umano; 4 sugatan matapos tamaan ng sumabog na granada (Money changer inside Robinsons Galleria mall, reportedly robbed; four hurt in grenade blast)."

(UPDATE 4, 1:40 p.m., Thursday, March 29) On the ANC 24/7 Facebook page, this breaking news was posted just minutes ago, today, March 29: "From a DZMM report: Money changer sa loob ng Robinsons Galleria mall, hinoldap umano; 4 sugatan matapos tamaan ng sumabog na granada (Money changer inside Robinsons Galleria mall, reportedly robbed; four hurt in grenade blast)."

 

As of 11:48 a.m. this morning, ANC reported that members of the Philippine National Police are now on the scene. Later, ANC revealed that the mall’s entry points were closed for "a few hours" after the incident but have since been reopened. It was also confirmed that one of those (six people according to reports) hurt in the blast (a mall security guard) has passed away.

 

ABS-CBNNews.com, citing dzMM correspondent Arnell Ozaeta, reports that the individuals responsible for the crime appeared t o be "riding-in-tandem robbers." The money changer is Sanry. ABS-CBNNews.com noted from reports that "the robbers threw a grenade and fired shots during the robbery."

 

The report also revealed: "The Metro Manila Development Authority has warned motorists of heavy traffic near the Galleria entrance on the northbound lane of EDSA."
