SPOTTED: MUJI's Opening Its First Branch in the North
They say it's going to be the biggest in the country.
(SPOT.ph) Since it first arrived in Manila, MUJI has gained a cult-like following among Filipino shoppers everywhere. With its signature no-frills and minimalist, clean-looking designs, it has become the go-to brand for anything and everything from stationery to home organizers and even outfits and furniture. But one downside to loving this brand, especially if you live in the northern part of the Metro, is its lack of branches near your area. But hey, it's 2023, and it looks like change is coming, as we spotted a humongous MUJI board up along the halls of SM North Edsa.

Here's what we know about the new MUJI branch in SM North Edsa:
Based on the board ups we spotted along the new wing of SM North, a.k.a. the North Towers, it looks like this new branch will be its biggest in the country yet. It's set to open on June 9, and yep, this outpost is a big one.
Spanning almost two-thirds of the second floor of the new wing, this bad boy is overwhelmingly huge. Let's just say with board-ups on either side of the hallway, it looks like you'll be cutting through MUJI every time you pass by the area. Yup, there'll be no ignoring the call of the no-frills Japanese brand when you're in SM North.
Based on the brand's latest social media posters, it looks like we're not only getting a really big outpost for all our MUJI needs but we're also going to get a MUJI Coffee outpost! It's looking like Northies can soon have their fill of the brand's café selection without having to travel down south.
But, another thing that caught our eye with the latest promotions for the Northern branch is what appears to be a curry rice meal! Does this mean we're getting just new curry dishes on the menu of the MUJI Coffee Counter, or are we getting a full-blown MUJI Dine and Cafe? NGL, we don't know what to expect at this new outpost but we have high hopes. Based on all the teasers we're getting, it looks like SM North Edsa's MUJI is definitely one for the books!
