SPOTTED: Le Labo Is Opening Up Shop at This Makati Mall

(SPOT.ph) Perfumes are very personal, so much so that catching even just a tiny whiff of a scent from years back can trigger a trip down memory lane. Spraying on your favorite cologne is more than just smelling nice—it can improve your mood and even inspire confidence to take on a new day. Cult-favorite perfume brand Le Labo knows the beauty and soul unique scents hold, and it looks like they're bringing their lab to the Philippines: We spotted a Le Labo store board-up in Greenbelt 5.

Le Labo is opening a stand-alone store in the Philippines

The aforementioned board-up sits on the Ground Floor, right beside Hublot, and features the perfume lab's unmistakable apron, bottle, and box. It says "opening soon" with no official date or even month yet, but we're hopeful it's set to open at least in 2024. 

The New York City-based fragrance brand is most known for its signature scent, the Santal 33, packaged in a customizable bottle that makes spritzing the perfume all the more personal. Apart from personalized perfumes, the brand also carries candles, shampoos, lotions, and more.

The Le Labo experience

More than the tantalizing scents Le Labo provides, craftsmanship and detail are present every step of the way, from production down to packaging. The brand is loved for the shopping experience in-store, where a sales associate will stamp the bottle with the date, details, and your name. To the uninitiated, Le Labo perfumes are formulated by hand and hand-poured into smaller bottles only after you place an order—a process in line with traditional perfumery practices.

Due to these intricacies, a bottle of Le Labo is prized and personal for the scent-loving Filipino. There are some reputable resellers peddling generic-labelled bottles or even custom ones. You could even ask a friend travelling abroad to snag a bottle for you, but nothing beats partaking in the experience yourself. Consider it a two-in-one souvenir of sorts.

Now that a physical store opening in Manila looms over the horizon, our fingers are crossed that the shop offers the same experience and wide selection of scents. We know you're dying to get your hands on other popular scents, too, like the Le Labo Lys 41 and the Le Labo Another 13.

Unofficial decants are also sold on Shopee if you want to get your hands on Le Labo scents ASAP. Though decanted from authentic bottles of the perfume, these tiny samples may evaporate quickly and are mostly meant for you to try out the scent or use immediately.
