Shoe Game Manila Is Now Open in This Mandaluyong Mall

(SPOT.ph) Gone are the days when you only had one pair of sneakers in your lineup. (Those Air Force 1s have served us well.) These days, the most popular sneakers come from brands all over—which is great for us, because we get to pick whichever one suits our needs and style the best. If you're looking to up your shoe game, then you best find your way to the aptly named and newly opened branch of Shoe Game Manila in Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong. They've got the most-hyped shoes from adidas, Veja, and New Balance, to name a few.

Shoe Game Manila's newest branch is now open in Shangri-La Plaza.
Shoe Game Manila's outpost in Shangri-La Plaza is its fifth and latest. It's located on the fifth floor of the Main Wing, in between Shoe Salon and Converse. That's perfect for when you want to try on all your choices before you cop your next everyday sneaker. (It probably won't be easy to pick, though.)
The other branches of Shoe Game Manila are located in Century City Mall in Makati, S Maison and Newport World Resorts in Pasay, and Okada Manila in Parañaque. This new location in Shangri-La—which is technically in Ortigas Center—is the one nearest to the North so far. Now, you don't have to dread going through the entire length of EDSA just to check out that new colorway you've been eyeing.

adidas
We spotted everyone's current favorite style—the adidas Samba OG (from P7,900) in multiple colorways at the store. There are nudes, pastel blues, red, purple, leather uppers, and suedes.

Onitsuka Tiger
If you want that same-same-but-different vibe, you might want to consider the Onitsuka Tiger Tokuten as an adidas Samba alternative. They've got almost the same lining on the toe box and silhouette on the side. But if it's a slim silhouette you're after, the classic Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 is the way to go.
Onitsuka Tiger is also available in their stores in Manila and Cebu.
New Balance
Now if it's comfort you're looking for, then you can take your pick from New Balance. The New Balance 327 (from P7,900) is arguably their comfiest style—worn by on-call doctors who are on duty for more than 24 hours, and also by this writer when these photos were taken. It strikes that perfect balance between sleek and minimalist style with I-could-walk-all-day practicality.
The New Balance 550 (from P5,900) is the brand's counterpart to the aforementioned Nike Air Force 1s. They were both popularized as basketball shoes in the 1980s with the same flat sole and very similar silhouettes.
For those who still want in on the comfy dad shoe trend, there's still time—and the New Balance 530 (from P7,500). It's chunky enough to be different from "dressier" sneakers, but still sleek enough to style with your more modern outfits, even if it looks like something your tito would wear, too.

Veja
Speaking of dressy sneakers, the first that would come to mind these days would be the French brand Veja. Their most popular styles are the Campo (from P12,900) and the Esplar (from P11,900)—which might look the same to the untrained, not-obsessively-sneaker-window-shopping eye. Both styles have a clean and simple silhouette with a V on the side and a colored tab at the back. But the Campo has "VEJA" printed on the outer side near the back in gold lettering and it's designed with a slightly thicker sole that could provide more support. The Esplar's thinner sole means it's lighter to wear.
Those who are always on the go would want a pair of shoes that can keep up with them. The Veja Recife (from P11,900) is essentially the same as the Campo, but with three Velcro straps instead of laces. So you can easily slip it on and off or adjust the fit quicker.
Veja is also available on Zalora.
Nike
What's a list of brands at a sneaker store without Nike? There's not a lot that can be said that hasn't been already. But one thing's for sure: Shoe Game Manila has a wide variety of colorways for the street-faves Jordans (from P8,500) and Nike Dunks (from P6,900). High top or low top, there's a pair for you here.
