(SPOT.ph) There's a lot to think about when you're going on a trip: getting to the airport on time, booking your accommodation, and bringing luggage that'll get you through your vacation. That last one doesn't have to be a stressful experience—especially when The Travel Club+ is now open in Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong.
SPOT.ph got a first look at the newly opened branch, which is the first of The Travel Club's flagship stores that'll soon pop up around the Metro. It's home to brands like Delsey, Hedgren, Pacsafe, and Herschel. In addition to their extensive product lineup, they've got everything you need to make shopping for a trip as enjoyable as the trip itself—with an in-store café, a lounge area with sockets, and even a customization corner.
The Travel Club has seen multiple iterations within Shangri-La Plaza. They previously had a big store located on the Ground Floor, then a smaller one while this new shop was in the works. But with the look of The Travel Club+ with its earthy tones, light wood walls, and greenery, it was worth the wait.
Nothing says "big location" more than a digital directory. That's what'll greet you at the entrance of The Travel Club+ on the 2nd floor of Shangri-La Plaza's Main Wing. It's on the same floor as Toby's Estate (you know the one at the end of that really long escalator) and it's right in front of La Creperie and Department of Coffee.

What to shop from The Travel Club+
The Travel Club+ is cleverly set up according to different themes and needs. All luggages are one one side while other bags and outdoor essentials are on the other. There are also smaller areas with travel essentials curated for the summer, for parents, and furparents.
The Travel Club+ has a wide variety of luggage brands that their customers can shop from. They've got trusted classics like Delsey, Victorinox, Travelers Choice, and World Traveller. They also have brands trusted around the world that are getting popular in the Philippines, like Lojel and Ace, which are both Japanese-founded. There's also the American brand, Briggs & Riley.
Other popular and reliable bag brands that you can shop at the store include Hedgren, Pacsafe, Jansport, and Herschel. Some of these brands have luggage that you can buy online, but most of their products in-store are casual, everyday bags that are perfect for your essentials when you're on the go. Hydro Flask tumblers also line the shelves—and even have their own.
One of the unique features of The Travel Club+ is the Custom Corner—which is exactly what it sounds like. When you buy something from the store, whether it's a new check-in bag, a backpack, or even a tumbler, they can add your name or initials to it. That's a great way to differentiate your baggage at the carousel or your tumbler at the office.
Traveling isn't a one-size-fit-all kind of experience. Some love to travel on their own, while others enjoy exploring with their families, kids, and even pets. Well, there's a spot for everyone at the store.
They've set up a display with products that are meant for parents traveling with babies and toddlers: baby carriers, luggages with pockets for toys, and luggages with seating, and all that. There's another display for those who go around with their pets, complete with a clear trolley, a portable dog-bed-slash-bag, and poop bags.
The Travel Club+ in Shangri-La Plaza has a not-so-secret café.
If you've been to Hilltop, a café located in Horseshoe at Quezon City, then you're part of the IYKYK club. They don't do a lot of marketing for their humble location located within a village—they don't even have a sign to mark their minimalist space. But they've got regulars who frequent their coffee shop, which itself is a physical manifestation of the pandemic-born ecommerce shop, Everyday Coffee Roasters. They've emulated that same low-key vibe at their outpost within The Travel Club+ in Shangri-La Plaza.
While they may just be a small window within a store, their caffeine is just as strong as ever. They use the same beans that they do for their other standalone cafés. Hilltop's best-selling Mount Matutum Croissant, which is stuffed with white chocolate Mt. Matutum coffee ganache and covered with cocoa powder, isn't to be missed. An iced Spanish Latte pairs perfectly with it, too. If you've got your furbaby with you, you can order them a Puppaccino from the menu.
You can buy your coffee to-go or bring it with you while you go around the store. (We all know how much you need a boost when shopping for a long trip.) You can also enjoy your cup of joe while seated on the Snow Peak camping chairs and table set up in front of the mini café.
