You can always get ready-made sets on Lazada or Shopee, but the regular sizes don't always fit well. After all, our bikini bodies come in all shapes and sizes. Local swimwear brands know this, too—and that's why they offer personalization services where you can give your specific sizes and measurements so your new beach OOTD will fit you just right. You can even tweak the design just how you like it. We list down five Filipino swimsuit brands that have customization options so you can also show as much—or as little—skin as you want.

Local brands that create customized swimsuits

Coral Manila

When they were new moms, Coral Manila's founders Patricia Gonzalez and Margaux Alampay started the brand because they wanted everyone to feel good in their body when wearing swimsuits. They have sleek one-pieces but with a twist—like the Harlow (P2,550), Tamia (P2,450), and Clara (P2,450). Their two-piece styles show just enough skin if you want to be a bit more modest at the beach and they all come with high-waisted bottoms. The Tallie (P2,450) has a straight-neck top with straps that you tie on your shoulder for a dianty look. For a sporty vibe, the Marin (P2,450) has a racerback top with a bow-adorned bottom. All their styles come in double-lined fabrics, making the swimsuits feel soft and comfy, too.

As of writing, Coral Manila has a pop-up at Power Plant Mall in Makati City for those who want to fit their fave style and get measured IRL. While their stall is only until the end of May, their customization service is available year-round through their website.

Glō Resortwear

Glō Resortwear already offers a wide variety of sizes from XXS to 4XL. But they make it even more size-inclusive with their customization services. You can simply just send them a message with your preferred cut and color combination. To make your piece even more unique, you can pick one color for the top and another one for the bottom—and that works for both their one-piece and two-piece designs. They have basic neutral colros like Chocolate, Mauve, and Oat. They also have bright-colored hues like Taffy, Melon, Lemon, and Powder Blue.

Sew Local PH

A local celeb fave—including Julia Barretto—Sew Local PH has a wide variety of swimsuit designs, fabrics, and colors to choose from. To make it easier for you to choose the design you want, they even separate options as just tops or bottoms so you can make your own combo. You can even choose how much coverage you want for the bottoms. Aside from the usual bikini bottoms, they also offer those with more coverage, like boyshorts and skirts. If you want the best of both worlds—or if you know you're going out and about—you can get both the bottom and skirt in the same fabric then just layer them.

As for the fabrics, they have smooth spandex that vary in grams per square meter (GSM), and textured fabrics in different patterns: ribbed, crinkle, wave, groove, and flora, and chequered. 

To complete your entire pool outfit, they also have a new product called the Coral Cup Nipple Cover (P249) that's meant to be worn under bikinis. If you can't wait to get your hands on your swimsuit, they have ready-to-ship ones in select designs and sizes.

Cesa PH

Cesa's collection is mostly for ready-to-wear pieces, but a select few of their designs can be customized based on your size. They know that tops and bottoms aren't always the same size. They can also adjust the torso length for the maillots. It'll take them around three to four weeks to produce the swimsuit upon full payment.

For a custom sizing of their ready-made design, it'll be the retail price of the swimsuit plus P800. For a change of color, it'll be an additional P500 for each custom-sized swimsuit. They have a rush fee of P500 to get the piece done in seven to nine days. The shipping fee remains the same regardless of location with a flat rate of P200. For customization, you can send Cesa an e-mail regarding sizing and fabric availability. You can also set an appointment at their flagship studio so they can take your measurement.

Boom Sason

A celebrity favorite, Filipino designer Boom Sason has long been known for fashion-foward designs that'll have all eyes on you at the beach. Their bikini styles (starting from P7,000) can all be padded along with the Olivia, Evora, Amari, and Tasha Hybrid maillots (starting from P7,500). All of their swimsuits are custom-made so any piece you'll get is sure to be one-of-a-kind and made for only you.

It takes a standard lead time of two and a half weeks after full payment before the order is shipped. They ship worldwide but you can also pick up your order at their studio. Rush orders are also accepted from June to October, with the additional fees dependent on your order.
