UPDATED: Love, Bonito's First Store in the PH Finally Opens

(SPOT.ph) The wait is finally over. Cult-fave Singaporean fashion brand Love, Bonito is opening the doors to their first brick-and-mortar shop in the Philippines on July 13 at Greenbelt 3, Makati City.
We used to be able to get their pieces only during trips to Singapore, or through buying from visiting friends; then we got to add-to-cart online when LB started shipping to the country around 2019; then we got to check out pop-ups around the Metro—now, we have a fully fledged physical store we can waltz around in and try out the brand's timeless and versatile silhouettes firsthand. Best part? We get to take the pieces home ASAP.

Love, Bonito opens its first-ever physical store in Makati.
We first caught wind of the news in April this year, having spotted their impossible-to-miss board-up on the second floor of Greenbelt 3. The store was slated to open in the third quarter of the year they said back then—and LB is sticking to their word. Before their supposed opening on July 13 to the general public, the SPOT.ph team got to take a look around and we can't wait to show you what we saw.
Note that if you're a Gold Member of the LB fam, you can visit as early as July 12 from 5 p.m. onwards.
However, excited as we are, the store has postponed its opening until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances.
The store is easily located at the end of the escalator by Greenbelt 3—you know the one passing by the Power Mac Center and in front of Urban Revivo—which makes it impossible not to see the store whether you're going up or down. They're also around restaurants and cinemas, i.e. you get good foot traffic. You can easily take a break or eat after or before you go shopping.
The understated storefront lets you have a glimpse of the cult-fave brand's silhouettes, a little preview that's more than enough to entice you in.
Once the voice inside wins and you walk into the store, you'll be surprised to see how massive the store actually is, with the brand's key lines practically unfolding before your eyes: signatures, staples, and capsule collections. There are racks of clothes all around, balanced out by more than enough space to go through them. The store is clean and neat, with a mix of neutrals and soft pops of colors through the brand's pieces.
We spotted tops, bottoms, dresses (with pockets!), and jumpsuits, among other versatile styles and silhouettes that make for a timeless, modern Asian woman's wardrobe. There are blazers, too. You should check out some of the signs that will tell you which pieces pair best with an occasion or vibe.

There's no doubt you will have trouble stopping your hands from grabbing a top or two (or more). Who are we to stop you? You can try them on at one of around six fitting rooms at the back end, next to the cashiers. You can go straight from fitting to paying for your pieces.
There's also a big space in the store dedicated to LB's upcoming community events.

According to Dione in a sit-down interview with members of the media, this is just the beginning. They look forward to opening more stores across the Metro and ask us to stay tuned.
