LEGO Certified Store Opens Its Doors in Ayala Malls Manila Bay

(SPOT.ph) There are only a few LEGO Certified Stores across the Metro. There’s one in “Town,” as the South kids call Alabang Town Center, and the Northies have one in Trinoma. Somewhere in between are branches in BGC (which is the first-ever official LEGO Certified Store in the PH), Shangri-La, and UP Town Center. And now there’s one in Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

The kids and kids-at-heart don't have to wait too long to visit, too, because the new store—in partnership with Ban Kee Trading—opens today, October 26.

Here's what to expect at the new LEGO Certified Store in Ayala Malls Manila Bay. 

Stepping foot inside a LEGO Certified Store guarantees childlike joy, no matter how old you are. It's a given that being surrounded by all kinds of LEGO sets can do that to you, but here most especially because of the interactive
displays like the "Build a Mini-Figure" station (where you can build three mini-figures of yourself or your friends for P599), as well as unique LEGO displays.

That said, the new store in Ayala Malls Manila Bay also has some exciting firsts that every LEGO fan (and by that, we mean everyone) has to see and experience. Why? Because some of these unique displays will be delightfully familiar.

First-ever LEGO passport in the PH

First things first, the new store is launching the limited-edition LEGO Passport, which is a first in the country. It's a program that "invites fans from all over the world to collect unique stamps from various LEGO stores." Yup, it's a must-have souvenir for avid LEGO collectors like yourself. You can also get them stamped on the day of opening.

The best part? It's free! You just have to follow LEGO Certified Store PH and Ban Kee Bricks' official social media pages, snap a selfie at the store, and share it with a few official hashtags. It will be available in the Ayala Malls Manila Bay store only from October 26 to November 8. But don't fret, because even if you miss the dates, you can get the passport in other LCS stores after November 8. 

Unique Filipino displays

The new store will showcase elements of Filipino culture. Like a LEGO Graphics Mural Wall featuring well-known spots and icons in the country like Mt. Mayon, Baguio’s Lion Head, as well as the Barong Tagalog and the Philippine Eagle.

Not only that but there will be an exclusive 3D model of a mamang sorbetero and his ice cream cart.

"We wanted to incorporate what makes our Filipino culture unique into the in-store experience," says Justin Bautista, Sales and Marketing Manager at Ban Kee Trading in a press release.

He adds, "Filipinos value strong family bonds and a sense of community, so we've infused these elements into the store experience and created an environment that feels welcoming and familiar to the Filipino LEGO fans. Ultimately, we want our guests to build not just bricks, but also memories that reflect our identity."

If you weren't able to resist the temptation (which we know you wouldn't) and buy a P6,000-worth LEGO set on the day of opening, you would get a free LEGO Foldable Shoppers Bag, 40528 LEGO Brand Retail Store, as well as a 40691 Mythical Pegasus set. If not P6,000, you can still get a P500 voucher when you spend a minimum of P5,000.

The new LEGO Certified Store is located on the ground floor of Building B of the Ayala Malls Manila Bay, 1701 Aseana Avenue, Baclaran, Parañaque. You can also check out other LEGO Certified Stores in and around Manila—in BGC, Alabang, Shangri-La, and TriNoma.
