Zara Reopens at Greenbelt 5 With More Floors + Payment Kiosks

(SPOT.ph) Greenbelt regulars can always turn to Zara for a much-needed shopping spree—be it for that upcoming trip abroad, that last-minute even you got invited to, or for days when you just need a little treat. The Makati outpost was closed for a time due to renovations, but it just reopened this week, this time bigger and better so you can shop to your heart's content.

What to expect at the Zara Flagship Store at Greenbelt 5

Apart from the sleek and modern aesthetic upgrades, the reopened Zara at Greenbelt 5 is now three floors high, with its full glass wall letting natural light in. A set of escalators can take you up or down, or elevators if you're toting a lot around the store or if you're on a wheeled device. There's a ramp leading up to the elevators, so you don't have to worry about having to climb stairs.

It's still by the fountain near the Greenbelt 5 drop-off, so you can easily spot the store or ride off with your latest haul in a snap.

Three floors

Each floor caters to different customers; the first floor is for women, filled with the brand's more mature, and timeless pieces; the second floor is still for women, but you'll find trendier items here, while the third floor is split between the men's and kids' sections.

Trust when we say that the view and light aid the shopping experience—you're treated to a night sight of green and blue, and you can see how the light hits the garments so you get a better picture of how they'd look when worn versus the perfect lighting in the dressing room that's not always available out in the real world.

Should you need to return at item or pick up your online purchase in-store, the first floor is where it's all done.

Payment booth

Perhaps the biggest difference at the Zara flagship store is the payment area. It's a secluded section lined with computers and scanners so you can check-out yourself without assistance. Only card payments are accepted here and you'll mostly have to do everything yourself, from scanning your items and removing the security tags to processing the payment and packing things up in a bag. And hey, if you do end up needing help, staff are nearby to assist you so you can get that faster checkout the next time you visit.

Zara's notorious for its long lines especially during sales and the holiday season, so this is a big win for those in a rush. Even better that payment areas are available on every floor so you don't need to move up or down once you've finished a shopping sesh.

But fret not if you're paying with cash or you need assistance checking out. Regular payment booths are still available in-store and the staff will be more than happy to assist you.

Zara fragrances

The retailer is known for its clothes, but its fragrances has also amassed a following thanks to its reasonable prices and wide selection for both men and women. Perfumes are stationed near the payment areas and have their own nook away from the apparel, complete with testers and multiple sizes available for each scent. If you're looking for a signature scent or you're in the market for something to add to your rotation, you'll have a great time sniffing the scents away from shoppers looking at the clothing.

There's a perfume nook in every floor and while there are overlaps in display, it's best to check them all—including the men's!—because you never know when or where a ne signature scent of your could pop up.

Flagship status and online integration

Zara's Greenbelt 5 outpost is now considered its flagship store, meaning its a heavyweight amongst branches if not for its size, then for its collections or services. Though we weren't able to try it out ourselves on opening day, the store is equipped with tools that integrate the brand's online website and app. Such services include fitting room reservations, in-store pickup for online orders within two hours, and the ability to search for items online and check in-store availability. There are also speficic areas for returns, automatic online returns, and even a customer cardboard recycling area.
