10 Cool Finds from Typo
The hard-to-resist stationery store is now open in Manila!
(SPOT.ph) The most difficult ordeal we went through on our first Typo visit was tearing ourselves away from the revolving display of sass and snark, and care cards for every possible occasion (including an apology note for hurting someone while you’re hungry). Sadly, we don’t have enough friends celebrating their birthdays soon, rendering the purchase of greeting cards an exercise in wasting money. When you’re in a stationery store filled with an assortment of cute curios, it’s wise to mind how much you should really spend on paper products.
Typo is quicksand pretending to be a shop. It’s an Australian concept store that’s armed with everything you could somehow find a need for-writing materials, gift ideas, and kitschy decorative knickknacks. It’s now open at TriNoma, giving all of us a chance to participate in an internal debate about how much we need another notebook with a cute cat on the cover. Cat iPhone case? Cat-ears headphones? Cat pens? Cat bookends? Oh boy.
There are mason jars, ceramic milk bottles, paper straws, pugs (plenty of pugs!), Peanuts characters, pillows, magnets, stamps, wall accessories, assorted art supplies, and everything you need to be branded a hipster (owls, mustaches, thick-framed glasses, and the like).
We’re pretty sure you’d be overwhelmed with all the postcards and notepads, so here are a couple of adorable items you might’ve missed. Wait, do skulls count as adorable?
