The new beauty product that will really protect your skin from the sun
Because applying sunscreen isn't enough!
(SPOT.ph) You probably already know that applying sunscreen every day is a must—and we trust that you live by it because skipping SPF is the ultimate skin sin. But even if you slather on a generous amount of sunscreen five times a day, you're probably neglecting this part of your face: your eyelids. We understand, though. If the package reads "Keep out of eyes," that product is not going anywhere near your peepers. Scary fact: Your eyelids are highly susceptible to skin cancer.
A new beauty product promises to keep your lids covered: Benefit's Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer. The tube is a hybrid between sunscreen and an eyelid primer with SPF 20 which promises to protect your eyes from the evil UV rays—it's formulated with octinoxate (this shields UVB rays) and mineral UVA-shield titanium dioxide. And yes, unlike other primers, this one claims to be like the consistency of BB Cream that has a light tint and dries matte. The tube also features a "Cushion Calm" tip perfect to use on the delicate skin around your eye area.
The Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer (US $29) will be available in September.
