Sneakerheads, you can score the Nike Cortez for less than P5,000

(SPOT.ph) Heads up, sneakerheads! If you've completely given up on scoring your own Nike Cortez pair a.k.a. Forrest Gump's iconic running shoe, we bring you good news: Nike is coming out with new colorways for the popular runner's 45th anniversary!

The Nike Cortez was officially released in 1972 and was the first Nike sneaker to offer visible technology for runners. Over the years, it became many things: It was the sneaker of champion runners, became a staple of west coast hip-hop street style, and is now a pop culture icon!

To celebrate, Nike is releasing three new colorways of the popular sneaker which will drop in Nike retail stores, Sole Academy, Capital, and The Athlete’s Foot on Tuesday, May 30.
