(SPOT.ph) Heads up, sneakerheads! If you've completely given up on scoring your own Nike Cortez pair a.k.a. Forrest Gump's iconic running shoe, we bring you good news: Nike is coming out with new colorways for the popular runner's 45th anniversary!
Â
The Nike Cortez was officially released in 1972 and was the first Nike sneaker to offer visible technology for runners. Over the years, it became many things: It was the sneaker of champion runners, became a staple of west coast hip-hop street style, and is now a pop culture icon!Â
Â
To celebrate, Nike is releasing three new colorways of the popular sneaker which will drop in Nike retail stores, Sole Academy, Capital, and The Athlete’s Foot on Tuesday, May 30.
