Shopping Staples: This Mall Keeps Us Coming Back

We revisit Central Square in the first in a series on favorite malls around the Metro

( When Central Square opened in 2014, people considered it the go-to movie place in Bonifacio Global City—it really is the only place where people can watch movies at Bonifacio High Street, where you can get a spectacular movie-experience thanks to their state-of-the-art cinemas (fun fact: the first 4DX opened here).

Look up to check out art pieces by Kenneth Cobonpue!

But the mall has quickly become one of our favorites in the Metro, with its nice restrooms (admit it—that's one of the things you look for in a good mall) and bright, stylish interiors—complete with those attention-grabbing pieces by Kenneth Cobonpue floating above the atrium.

Of course, the biggest reason we keep going back to Central Square are the dining and shopping options. Allow us to give you a rundown on some of the brands you can find at Central Square.

Pottery Barn

The first Pottery Barn in the country (and in Southeast Asia!) found a home in Central Square back in July 2014. The two-storey flagship store is the place to be if you feel like revamping your home or if you're just looking for a nice accent piece to spruce up your living room—or even just looking for a nice gift for a friend. It houses Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and Pottery Barn Baby.

Towards the end of 2014, British toy store Hamleys opened their first store in the Philippines at the upper ground floor of the mall. The brightly lit store is lined shelves packed with different kinds of cool toys—some, you can even play with! It's the perfect place to keep the little ones entertained. Kids and kids-at-heart will never want to leave!

For people who have a penchant for scents and candles, Diptyque's quaint boutique located on the ground floor of the mall is where you can find the perfect aroma for your home. The Paris-based luxury goods brand also carries fragrances for both men and women, as well as room sprays. They have solid perfumes and roll-ons, too!

You can also shop stylish and functional travel bags from Parisian brand Lipault. From lightweight luggage to casual bags to travel accessories, Lipault definitely has something in store for modern-day travelers.

Health buffs (or those who like to pretend) will love that there's a SaladStop! on the ground level of the mall. Here's where you can get your dose of health in the midst of addicting (but unhealthy) snack foods and fast food chains. If you're not a salad fan, you can opt for their selection of yogurt, some granola, cakes, cookies, and more.

If you're looking for fashion pieces to wear to an event or if you just want to give your wardrobe fresh update, you can find the Reiss flagship store on the upper ground level of Central Square. The British brand carries men's and women's lines with everyday fashion pieces to formalwear.

Kurt Geiger

Looking for the perfect pair of stilettos to go with that brand-new dress? Or a statement clutch to spruce up your OOTDs? Central Square is also home to British footwear and accessories brand Kurt Geiger. Here, you can shop from their wide range of labels and get to try on their stylish pairs and fashionable bags that are totally irresistible.

Marketplace by Rustan's

Foodies, head straight to the basement and go crazy at Marketplace by Rustan's. The Central Square branch is their second store in the country and it's where food lovers can score unique food finds and enjoy a wide range of produce, meat, and dairy essentials. Here, you will find 250 varieties of sought-after deli and cheese as well as over 500 bottles of wine from all over the world. Sounds like heaven to us!

Tea lovers also have a safehaven at Central Square. TWG is located at the lower ground floor and it's where titas and titas-at-heart can hang out over tea and macarons and scones. You and your amigas will fall in love with the warm and elegant ambiance the place offers.

Marks & Spencer Food

Do we need to say more? Here's where you can spend the entire day in, sipping on a warm cup of coffee and munching on M&S' addicting digestives cookies! The Central Square branch has an impressive selection of M&S yummies and also has a bakery so you can enjoy freshly baked pastries with your brew.

Central Square is at 5th Avenue corner 30th Street, Bonifacio High Street Central, Bonifacio Global City. They’re open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Sunday to Thursday) and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Friday to Saturday).
