This Beautiful Pop-Up in Makati Has Vintage Finds From All Over the World
It's a jewel box of a shop filled with a selection of objects and furniture from everywhere!
We’ve all known visual storyteller Ito Kish for his award-winning furniture designs, projects, and various collaborations. But it was his eponymous store Kish along the Makati designer street Nicanor Garcia that got everyone raving about his beautiful vignettes and stunning visual merchandising.
The showroom closed more than a year ago, but Kish didn't stop working on other projects. One of them is Stories, a pop-up store at the new wing of Power Plant Mall, which opened July 1 and will last all of two months until the end of August.
The designer writes: “I am writing to let you know that I am back. Just for a short while, and with a very special collection for your home.” Kish shares that he chose the name Stories because he wants to create personal stories for the home.
This collection is an eclectic but curated mix of new and vintage pieces from Europe, Asia, and Scandinavia; travels the designer had gone to on his time off. The pop-up store itself, albeit much smaller than the former showroom at 36 square meters, still showcases Kish’s stunning visual merchandising and styling. Here are some of the finds:
Vintage teacups and saucers from all over Europe
Various decorative objects from Japan, Indonesia, and Taiwan
Stories is at 2/F New Wing, Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City.
