(SPOT.ph) Remember the sad day Brandon Truaxe announced that DECIEM would be closing down? Looks like that's not happening anymore. Cue the happy tears! That means we can still get our hands on all our favorite The Ordinary products. What is happening, however, is that Estée Lauder (they own 28% of DECIEM) is stripping Truaxe of his role as co-CEO of the company because of his erratic behavior, which has been reflected on DECIEM's Instagram posts even prior to the announcement.
In case you missed it, Truaxe made an announcement about closing DECIEM due to alleged criminal activity. "Almost everyone at Deciem has been involved in a major criminal activity, which includes financial crimes and much other," Truaxe said in a now-deleted Instagram video. While plenty found his behavior problematic from the get-go, you could say that the shock announcement put skincare junkies in a state of panic—where else were they going to find budget-friendly products that work so well?
According to the BBC, Estée Lauder has asked Nicole Kilner, co-CEO of DECIEM, to take Truaxe's place and that means business as usual for the brand. So, to celebrate the good news, we list all of the products we're planning to add to cart from The Ordinary.
