These New Smartphones With Leica Cameras Are Perfect for Shutterbugs

These can take breathtaking wide-angle shots!

(SPOT.ph) Every year, it gets harder and harder to decide what your next phone is going to be. And over the weekend, Huawei just made it even more difficult with the unveiling of their Mate 20 series, featuring the Huawei Mate 20 and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

The Huawei Mate 20 is the enhanced version of previous models in Huawei's lineup. It features a 6.53-inch display that’s perfect for using even with one hand, complete with an impressive 128GB internal storage. If you’re the type to want a lot of space on your phone though, you can purchase a nano SD card and expand the phone’s storage up to 256GB.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the more advanced sister of the Mate 20. It’s slightly handier with a 6.39-inch display and comes with the same internal and expandable storage. The Mate 20 Pro comes with a slightly bigger battery (4200 mAh vs 4000 mAh), and supports wireless charging so you can say goodbye to those annoying moments your cords get tangled.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a new feature called Reverse Charge, which means means you can use it to charge another phone (as long as it also supports wireless charging, of course!).

But perhaps the biggest selling point of the Mate 20 series is the improved Leica triple camera that’s perfect for anyone with a love for mobile photography. Both phones have AI stabilization, so you don’t need to worry about blurred photos caused by shaky hands, plus 24-megapixel front cameras so you can take the clearest selfies. It's also equipped with a 12-megapixel Wide Angle lens with a 16-megapixel Ultra Wide View so you can take the most breathtaking landscape shots. Meanwhile, the Mate 20 Pro goes the extra mile with 40-megapixel lens and 20-megapixel Ultra Wide Lens.

The Mate 20 is available in two sleek metallic colors, Midnight Blue and a more minimalist Black while the Mate 20 Pro is available in Black, Emerald Green, and a pretty blue-and-black gradient called Twilight.

The Huawei Mate 20 is priced at P40,990 and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is priced at P49,990. Both are available for pre-order until November 2 at these Huawei stores.
