Sperry's New Sneaker Collection Is Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles

Each pair is made with about five plastic bottles!

(SPOT.ph) By now, we don't need to tell you that we all need to do our part in preserving the environment and that every little thing counts. One simple way to do so is by buying products that aren't wasteful, minimizing plastic use with refillable shampoo bottles, or shopping eco-conscious products. We know it can be a little tough to live more sustainably—it's a total lifestyle change. Thankfully a lot of brands are taking note and giving you more sustainable options when you go shopping. Check out our latest eco-friendly find in the form of sneakers: Say hello to Sperry's Eco Collection.

Every sneaker from the collection is made from plastic recovered from marine and coastal environments. This means that not only are they making use of repurposed material, they're also taking steps to use plastic that's been polluting waters and could potentially harm marine life. Each pair is made with an average of five recycled plastic bottles, and they come in a lot of cute designs.
