So you can be "echo"-friendly!

( We recently showed you some cool canvas totes you can shop now because if you don't have a go-to one yet, our only question is: why not? Not only are they super practical for everyday use—the type of bag you can grab to match any casual outfit and toss all your necessities in without a second thought—but they're also great plastic-free alternatives for carrying groceries and other bulky items. We recently spotted a unique tote you might just like and the proceeds even help out a good cause: you can now shop your very own "Echo" Bag, an eco-friendly canvas tote featuring a cool print of actor Jericho Rosales. Yes, the memes are real!

You might remember the OG "Echo" bag meme making its rounds on the Internet in the early days of 2020. Here's what it looked like if you need to jog your memory:

Well, it looks likes memes really do come true! The real-life "Echo" bags are produced by Mr. Manileño, an online project of Rosales' that creates cool videos exploring different regions around the country. The first photo of the tote was posted on February 14 by local designer Maine Manalansan, who had a hand in the project. The photo was posted again a week later by photographer Karen De La Fuente, who shot the original photo of Rosales featured on the tote—it was taken while the actor was filming his 2017 film Siargao.

You can shop the "Echo" bag online for P300. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Waves 4 Water Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps people around the world get access to clean water—one that was chosen by Rosales himself. Take note that the online order form says that while the stock of bags is limited, you can still fill out the form to pre-order for the next release. Here's to hoping everyone can get their own "Echo" bag!
