LOOK: This Artist Turned the BTS Meal Packaging Into a Fresh Pair of Sneakers
Check this out, ARMY.
(SPOT.ph) Following the release of the McDonald's BTS Meal on June 18, many a member of the ARMY unleashed their creativity and resourcefulness in full force, preserving their meal packaging and turning it into various items like bags, phone cases, and other cool accessories. One BTS fan in particular took it to the next level: Singapore-based artist Josiah Chua created custom sneakers out of the BTS Meal packaging and they look so legit!
Chua first posted the sneakers to his Instagram page on June 22 with Hypebeast later noting that he used the Nike Air Max Plus TN silhouette as a base for his creation. The pair is decked out in the bright purple material that makes up the BTS Meal packaging—Chua primarily used the McNuggets box as well as the drink cup to construct the sneakers' shape. Atop the laces, Chua positioned the nuggets' sauce boxes—the Sweet Chili on the left shoe and the Cajun on the right. The star of the shoe, however, has to be the pocket on the outer side, made from the McNuggets box and even designed to carry chicken nuggets on the go. We don't actually recommend walking around with fast food in sitting in your shoes, but it sure does make for a cool pair of kicks!
Take a closer look at these cool sneakers made out of the McDonald's BTS Meal Packaging:
Josiah Chua's custom BTS Meal sneakers aren't available for sale, but we're totally crossing our fingers that the band will actually release a cool pair in this bright colorway and unique design someday. In the meantime, maybe Chua's creation will inspire you to find creative ways to preserve your BTS Meal packaging!
