This Online Shop Makes Giving Extra Easy This Holiday Season
You can donate to women and children in need using just your phone.
(SPOT.ph) While the holidays are always an exciting time to treat yourself, they're also a period when folks put in extra effort to practice generosity and give back to those in need. In fact, you may already be thinking about ways you can do just that this Christmas. However, with the constraints brought about by the still-ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, that's easier said than done. Pre-March 2020, it was easy enough to drop donations at local charities and pack goods from the grocery store—these days, not so much.
All that in mind, if you're looking for a way to give back this Christmas while still keeping safe at home, you may want to check out e-commerce platform Edamama. They've got a holiday service on their website called Gift Registry, which lets you pick out gifts on their website for friends and family and get them delivered straight to your loved ones, so you can do all your shopping and gift-giving in one go. With the help of local orphanage Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home Inc. and women’s health organization I Support the Girls, they've extended that service in order to help those in need.
Here's how you can donate online this Christmas through Edamama's Gift Registry:
All you have to do is visit Edamama’s website and create an account. From there, visit the Gift Registry pages of either Tahanan ng Pagmamahal or I Support the Girls—take note that you have to be registered to the site in order to access the pages. Each page offers a different selection of gifts depending on what you'd like to donate. On Tahanan ng Pagmamahal's Gift Registry, you can choose from childcare essentials like thermometers, shampoos, soaps, rash creams, clothes, socks, divided plates, diapers, and more. I Support the Girls' registry, on the other hand, focuses on health and hygiene essentials for women like feminine wash, sanitary napkins, maternity pads, disposable underwear, adult diapers, and more.
Under each item, you’ll find a check box that reads "buy gift." Just tick the box under any item you wish to donate. Fom there, you can select the quantity of items you’d like to donate and even add a note on your gift to give it a personal touch. Once you've picked out everything you'd like to donate, just proceed to checkout and finalize your purchase. Edamama will handle the shipping fee and delivery for whatever gifts you've donated. They’ll even send you delivery updates via e-mail so you can be sure your purchase was successfully sent to someone who could really use it.
