(SPOT.ph) Despite the fact that we're living in a hyper-digital era, there's still a lot of love for old-fashioned gadgets like record players, typewriters, and film cameras. Analog photography, in particular, has become increasingly popular among young people in the last decade or so thanks to basic point-and-shoots as well as instant-print devices. Film photos provide both an aesthetic and an experience that smartphones and digital cams just don't—the final images, though they take time and effort to produce, come out in a distinct form that's difficult to replicate on a screen. But we must admit that while we're all for the ongoing analog wave, the hobby is definitely not as convenient as snapping pics on a smartphone.
We're not saying creative endeavors need to be easy, but when you're using your film cameras to capture memories in the heat of the moment, they can prove to be a bit of a fuss. The good news is that innovations in camera technology have been able combine the ease-of-use that digital provides with the look and feel of film. Case in point: Fujifilm's new Instax Mini Evo.

Here's How Fujifilm's Instax Mini Evo Works
Like many models in the Instax lineup, this camera lets you take quick snapshots and instantly print them out. However, it's got some cool features to level up the process. For one, the camera has a screen built into it. Take note, this isn't Fujifilm's first film-digital hybrid—they released the Square SQ10 in 2017—but it does upgrade the technology. Thanks to the built-in screen, you'll have much more control when snapping cute pics. You can frame your photos properly through the viewfinder, pick which photos to print, and even choose from various filters and lens effects.

Much like classic film cameras, the device sports a film dial up top and a lens dial up front—the former lets you choose from different film effects while the latter lets you change up the lens effects. There’s also a print lever, so you can print your chosen photos in an instant. The device even sports a retro-inspired black-and-silver design to complete that vintage experience.

Aside from being just a regular instant-print camera, the Instax Mini Evo can also be used as a photo printer. If you've got pics on your smartphone that you want to turn into film photos, you can send snapshots from your phone to the Mini Evo and print them directly from there. There’s also a remote shooting option that lets you use your smartphone as a remote control. That way, you can take group photos without having to use a selfie angle or exclude anyone from the pic.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo is available at authorized Fujifilm Instax retailers nationwide.
