Converse Is Releasing Pokémon-Themed Sneakers and You Gotta Catch Them All
The collection also includes sweaters, tees, and more!
(SPOT.ph) ICYDK, Pokémon fans: Your favorite video-game-turned-animated-series is celebrating its 25th anniversary this 2022. The beloved anime first premiered in April 1997 and to celebrate the quarter-of-a-century that it's existed, footwear brand Converse is releasing a new line inspired by the franchise. Say hello to the Converse x Pokémon Collection!
A Converse x Pokémon Collection Is Coming Soon
When you think Converse, their classic Chuck Taylors are no doubt the first thing to come to mind—so of course they had to remake the old-school kicks for their Pokémon-themed lineup. The collection includes pairs for both adults and children including a stylish pair of black high-tops featuring beloved Pokémon like Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, and more. You can also opt for a cool white pair decked out in illustrations of Pokémon. Both styles sport a redesigned All Star logo modeled after the famous Poké Ball.

Aside from fresh new kicks, the Converse x Pokémon Collection also includes T-shirts, sweaters, caps, and more. Each features several Pokémon as well as the franchise’s famous logo. Though they sport the Japanese series’ colorful and distinct characters, the apparel and accessories fit right into Converse’s laid-back style philosophy, making for pieces that are casual, wearable, and would go perfectly with the sneakers in the collection.

No word yet when the Converse x Pokémon Collection is going to hit local stores, but Converse Philippines recently posted a preview of the collection on their Facebook page so we’re crossing our fingers that it’ll be available on our shores real soon.
