(SPOT.ph) Most tech brands have dipped their toes into the audio industry with their own headphones, speakers, and the like, but many audiophiles still prefer to stick to brands that specialize in delivering topnotch sound. One such brand is Beats—formerly known as Beats by Dr. Dre—which was founded in 2006 by hip-hop legend Dr. Dre along with famed record company executive Jimmy Iovine. The brand has been making waves in audio tech since the mid-aughts thanks to their dedication to making music sound the way the artist intended. Beats has been a subsidiary of Apple since 2014 and they continue to innovate their lineup and adapt to the the ever-evolving audio game until today. Case in point: they updated their wireless-earbuds lineup with their new Beats Fit Pro True Wireless Earbuds, which were first unveiled in January. And in case you missed it, the device is now available in the Philippines.
Everything You Need to Know About the Beats Fit Pro True Wireless Earbuds
Aside from audio quality, which by now Beats has a pretty good reputation for, the Beats Fit Pro earbuds have two main claims-to-fame: their innovative construction and their Active Noise-Cancellation capability. The pair was engineered specifically to fit comfortably in the ear and stay secure all day long. Each earbud features pressure-relieving vents, which means you won’t feel any discomfort even after a whole day of wear. Meanwhile, the wingtip design promises to flex to the shape of your ear and stay in place even through busy days and workout sessions—the buds are water-resistant, too with an IPX4 rating, so you won't have to worry about getting a little sweat on them.
Up top, you'll find an in-ear design (to facilitate noise-cancellation) with silicone eartips, which can be interchanged depending on what size you need. On the exterior, the buds sport curved antennae that sit just outside the ear. They’re stored and charged in a rounded square casing decked out in a colorway that matches the earbuds.
The Beats Fit Pro is made to deliver poweful but balanced sound thanks to a dual-element diaphragm driver, which works to create excellent stereo separation that promises output that's both loud and clear. The device also supports Apple's Spatial Audio feature, which you'll also get on newer Airpods models—it's a kind of three-dimensional audio effect that gives your tunes an immersive, 360-degree quality.
And with this high-quality sound, you can choose between two listening modes. Go for Active Noise-Cancellation (ANC) if you want to tune out the world. The feature is fully adaptive, using real-time audio calibration to continuously pinpoint and block out unwanted external sounds without compromising the music. When you need to be aware of your surroundings, just switch to Transparency Mode. This setting uses external microphones to capture ambient sounds around you and mix them in with your music. That way, you get a listening experience with no interruptions, but you'll still be able to hear what's going on around you. And in case you don't need to block out any external noise, you can opt to turn both modes off.
As far as battery power goes, the Beats Fit Pro wireless earbuds promise up to six hours of listening time on a full charge with an additional 18 hours on the case for a total of 24 hours of combined playback. Listening time can also be increased to up to seven hours if ANC or Transparency Mode are turned off. Plus, the earbuds support fast-charging technology. You can get up to an hour of playback time after just five minutes of charging—perfect if you're ever in a rush, but can't leave the house without music blasting in your ears.
And before we forget, the Beats Fit Pro True Wireless Earbuds are available in four stylish colors. You can go for monochromatic neutrals like Beats Black and Beats White or opt for stand-out shades with complementary cases like Stone Purple and Sage Gray.
