(SPOT.ph) A year and a half since the Y1S joined vivo’s Y1 series, the phone company has come out with the lighter and longer-lasting vivo Y01. The new model is now available in the Philippines, for those looking for a budget-friendly upgrade to their older, worn-out smartphones. Keep reading to learn more about the device's notable specs and find out how much it'll cost you.
Here’s what you’re getting from the vivo Y01:
The vivo Y01 is priced at P5,299, a light-on-your-wallet investment for a smartphone of its capabilities. It’s available now in vivo stores nationwide and for online purchase on Shopee. Starting May 14, it’ll also be available on Lazada.
The Y01 is running a much improved 5000 mAh battery, giving it a competitive battery capacity with other top-of-the-line smartphones on the market. This allows you around 18 hours of web surfing and video streaming and nearly 8 hours of uninterrupted, immersive mobile gaming on the Y01.
Going more in depth into gaming performance, the Y01 has the Multi-Turbo 3.0 feature that – along with its 32GB RAM – allows for smooth performance and minimal drops in frame rate.
Compared to the previous vivo Y1S, the vivo Y01 is wider at 6.51 inches and with a 1600x720 HD resolution. It’s also incredibly thin and light for a smartphone in its price range, with its dimensions coming out to 163.96x75.2x8.28 millimeters and its weight at 178 grams, somewhat lighter than your average chocolate bar.
Additional features include a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera, which are what you’d expect from a phone in this budget range. The phone also has three card slots; two for SIM cards and one dedicated for a microSD card that can increase the phone’s storage up to 1TB. The phone includes a facial recognition unlock for increased safety and privacy. Finally, you’re also able to use the Y01 somewhat as a powerbank to charge other vivo phones, using its wireless power sharing feature.
The vivo Y01 comes in two colored variants: Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue. Elegant Black is fixed with the classic and confident shade that needs no added spice, while Sapphire Blue comes in a vibrant tone that sticks out more prominently.
