(SPOT.ph) Nike Fort has been a staple of the Bonifacio Global City scene since forever. If you're counting, i.e. want to really feel your age, we're talking nearly 15 years. The black building has long been a haven for fans of The Swoosh, what with its multiple levels of the brand's goods, from sneakers to apparel and everything in between. But if you've noticed things have been a little too quiet over on that side of the Metro, you'll be glad to know it's because the shop has been undergoing a well-deserved do-over—and yes, it's finally ready to open in May, the same month the brand celebrates their 50th anniversary. In this season of change, this is the type we'd actually welcome with open arms.

Nike Fort opens on Saturday, May 21. The redesign has turned the shop into Nike's largest retail space in the entire Southeast Asian region. Yup, that's around 14,000 square-footage of all kinds of Nike goodies for multiple sports. Think running (of course), tennis, yoga, basketball, general training, and golf. Not to worry for the kiddies either, as there are still dedicated sections of the shop with stuff for the young ones.

What to expect at the Nike Fort store in BGC:

The redesign was executed with three guiding principles, the brand explains in a statement: "bringing access to the sport, adding value to the local community, and creating a destination that brings consumers closer to sport and one another."

Those three principles are best seen via different zones in the shop. You can check out The Sport Hub, a concierge service that links a customer with a store stylist for a more personalized shopping experience. The stylist's main aim is to help you discover a new sport to try out, so aside from equipping you with the stylish gear to do so, they'll also help you find opportunities to test out your equipment in the city. These one-on-one sessions will take around a full hour.

Check out The City Replay zone for cool hyperlocal finds. This studio is where you can spot cool totes, caps, tees, and shoes designed by local talents. And last but not least, there's the Experience Studio. It's an open space in the shop that functions as wellness destination. Folks can sign up for sessions that focus on Nike's five facets of fitness: movement, mindset, recovery, nutrition, and sleep.
