(SPOT.ph) You don’t have to wait for the rain to pass in order to see a glimpse of the rainbow—when you can find it in you or wear it loud and proud through Converse’s new Pride collection as it officially drops on Philippine shores. And if you don't have an outfit planned for the annual Pride March happening on June 25, then this might just be for you.
This is the American shoe brand's seventh year of bringing forward the LGBTQIA+ community, celebrating love, equality, and "Found Family", through its Pride-themed sneakers— putting playful, graphic patchwork mixed with the vibrant colors of the rainbow in some classic styles. Yes, even in your favorite Chuck Taylors.
Wear the colors of the rainbow in these Converse Pride-themed sneakers.
The eye-catching designs came from the minds of Converse employees, who are also members of the LGBTQIA+ community, that were "united by a graphic patchwork that represents the diversity of the community and the mantra 'Family Unity.'"
Check out the collection below.
Converse's classic black Run Star Motion and Hike platform kicks have been getting a lot of love and attention lately—and for good reason (it gives you a little bit of a height advantage, but you didn't hear it from us). In this year's Pride collection, the trendy sneakers have been given a colorful touch, the midsole, more specifically, as well as in its ankle patch and tongue.
We have owned a black Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Hi-Sneakers at some point in our lives. It's a must-have in our shoe collection after all. But if you want to add a splash of color to it, Converse's Pride collection has it with a bandana graphic, as well as the colors of the rainbow on its outsole. It looks like you've stepped on the rainbow arc, literally.
We saw the Chuck Taylor All Star Lift go through a makeover as well. It has a Chucks rainbow graphic with rainbow stitches and bandana graphics, as well as a Pride Unity flag heel pull, adorning the white sneakers. You won't miss Converse's "Family Unity" mantra laying on its sock liner.
Check out available styles on their official Viber group and in Converse stores nationwide. For more information, visit Converse's Facebook page.
