10 Self-Shoot Studios Where Even the Camera-Shy Can Take Non-Awkward Pics

(SPOT.ph) Being in front of a camera can be a bit uncomfortable and awkward, especially for those who are self-conscious or just don't like to be told what to do and how to pose by someone else, much less a stranger—never mind that they're the photographer just doing their job. Oops.

Sigh, if only there was a way to get some good pictures in a professional studio, all while being yourselves, at your own pace. Oh, right. There is a way: self-shoot photo studios. We noted a rise in the number of these places lately, so we feel you if you can't wait to try it out on your own and maybe level up your IG-feed game in the process. If you don't know where to start looking for a studio, we have some places in mind for you.

Atomm Studios

Unit 201-A, Lot 2 and, 7 Batasan-San Mateo Road, Quezon City, 1126 Metro Manila

"Your safe space," is what the first self-photo studio in the country, Atomm Studios, aims to be when you, and even your furbabies, come in for your photos in front of different backdrops. Their packages start at P1,750 which gives 15 minutes, and is good for one to two people. It is strictly by reservation, and they can only accommodate up to seven pax per session.

Studio SEOUL

2/F, Martizano Building, 45 A. Bonifacio Avenue, Barangka, Marikina.

A self-photo and concept studio, whichever you're in the mood for, all in one place—Studio Seoul is the place where you can "freely and confidently capture your real selves." Feel like you're in the heart of South Korea with their Korean-inspired studio. Their packages start at P750, the time limit depending on what kind of studio you will book.

Stills Studio

163 Legazpi Street, Legazpi Village, Makati City

There are moments in life worth capturing in stills, indeed. Memorialize candid and fun moments of you, your friends, or loved ones in the best quality with none other than this small and yet up-and-coming studio. Their packages start at P600 so make sure to book an appointment ASAP.

Backroom Studios

20 Jupiter Street, Makati City and 107 Scout de Guia, Quezon City.

If you're living around Makati and Quezon City (they also have one in Tacloban City, Leyte) there's no need to go out of your way to get that Backroom Studios experience. You can get 20 minutes inside the studio with unlimited shots and four printed photos good for two people for only P500. Make sure to book your slots, whether it's in Makati or QC, before visiting.

Snapzz Studios

36 Scout Tobias Street, Quezon City. 

You deserve a spot in all those aesthetic and minimalist Pinterest boards when you snap a photo from Snapzz Studios, with its white-washed walls, classic chairs, and tables (hello, #TeamPuti). After the high of taking fun photos, wait for them to be printed and unwind with coffee and sweets in their pastry corner (which is also self-service!) Their rates start at P700. If you don't want to run out of slots, best to book ASAP.

A Studios

395 Adela Street, San Miguel, Manila 

Maybe it's time to recreate your barkada snaps from waaaay back in high school, if you agree, then maybe it's also time to head on to A Studios. Their group/family rates are priced at P1,500. However, if you're going in alone or with your loved one, the packages start at P500. Fingers crossed this doesn't become a "drawing," like all the other trips you've made but never went to before.

UFOTO Studios

MV Villar Avenue, South 1, Camella Springville, Bacoor, Cavite (five to seven minutes away from MCX Exit and EVIA Alabang).

There are some things that we cannot control, sure, but UFOTO Self-Portrait Studios doesn't want your own angles and shots to be one of them. Good news for all of our South friends, because UFOTO lets you in the self-shoot photography studio trend without straying too far away from your area. Rates start at P500.

Ilumina Studios PH

3/F The Edge Bldg. J. Aguilar Avenue (former CAA Road), Las Piñas City

If you think your color is beige, head to Ilumina Studios PH and pose in front of their new backdrop color. They also had a BTS' JK and purple backdrop, but that was only until July 9. However, you might want to keep your eyes peeled for more exciting updates from this self-shoot portrait studio. You can book your appointments and go crazy taking pictures of your authentic self in Ilumina. Their packages start at P500.

20 Something Studios

411 N.S. Amoranto, Quezon City

Take pictures like nobody's watching in 20 Something Studios. You can visit solo, with your SOs and group of friends (once all of you are finally free from work and priorities, that is). Rates start at P500. They accept walk-ins, but those who have reservations will be prioritized.
