This manual tea (and coffee!) maker, also known as a steeper, can steep loose tea leaves in its strainer cup. It has a fine metal mesh in the bottom of the cup and is light and easy to handle. The strainer itself easily comes off the top of the pitcher. It even has little legs so you can place it on your table as you set it up.

This makes the press tea maker easy to put together, take apart when you're done with it, and even clean. A quick rinse in soapy water and a few shakes to loosen any tea leaves that might have gotten stuck in the wire mesh, rinse, and you're done!

The strainer easily sits in the glass pitcher.

If you're a heavy tea drinker, you might need to double up the amount you add to the strainer to strengthen your tea. This way, it can steep as you wait the three minutes or so it needs to make as much tea as the little pitcher can hold.

The mechanism that makes this easy to use is the button that you press to release the tea or coffee from the strainer into the pitcher underneath. This press tea maker is super easy to put together and take apart when you're done with it.

Speaking of the pitcher, note that it is made of glass, not plastic, so you know you're getting value for your money with this little tea maker. Plus, the pitcher is not that "little" and is, in fact, a good-sized one, we're talking as much as half a liter. That's a serving that's more than a can of your favorite soda and bigger than many bottled coffee brews you may buy.

How To Use This Press Tea Maker For Coffee

We did say this little thing is versatile, and it is. We didn't just steep tea leaves in it; we also brewed some coffee grounds in it, too. The strainer is fine enough to hold coarsely ground coffee beans. (This is the same size of grounds you might need for your French coffee press.) Just do the same procedure as you would normally:

  • Place strainer in the pitcher.
  • Add grounds into the strainer, pour hot water over the grounds, then place the cover if desired.

  • Remove the strainer from the pitcher.
  • Pour coffee into your mug and enjoy!

The fun part of using this press tea maker is really pressing the little button that automatically strains the tea leaves or coffee grounds through the mesh and straight into the pitcher underneath. There is no spill, no mess. Just remove the strainer and pour your drink immediately into your mug.

Want to get your hands on this press tea maker and coffee maker, too? It's available on Lazada for P195 but if Shopee is your preferred online seller, it's available from the same store (TrustTrade Global Sourcing Philippines Inc.) from that online shopping platform as well but at P190. Prices are as of writing.
