Dr. Vicki Belo's lawyer Adel Tamano confirmed in a press conference past 10 p.m. last night that "there is in fact a sex video that is circulating that involves Dr. Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho. This was a purely private video between two consenting adults, this was not intended for anyone else to see. The agreement [between the two] was that pagkatapos ishoot ang video at mapanood nila ay immediately it will be deleted. She did release or reproduce these videos. In fact sobrang nalulungkot si Dr Belo because of what has happened and she condemns their release and circulation," reported Saksi. Tamano stressed that although the hard drive containing the videos is in Belo's possession, it doesnt mean that she has the only copy there is of the video. "There is a continuum of time, meaning, how long was this in your posession, was it possessed before by someone else? did someone else have access to this hard disk? After the investigation moves forward it will be clear kung sino talaga," he said. Dr. Belo is open to will cooperate with any investigation, says her lawyer. "She forgives easily, she is not a vindictive person," he said.

Meanwhile Belo, Kho and Eric Chua, Kho's friend suspected of circulating the video, all failed to show up at the NBI yesterday despite being subpoenaed to do so. Belo and Kho sent their lawyers in their place. Kho's personal apology was aired by Saksi. "Right now I feel deep remorse...I hope someday people will learn to condemn the sin, not the sinner," he said. Kho said he blames those who stole and spread the videos. It seems like he also blames drugs for the fiasco. Kho's lawyer Lorna Kapunan said "These all happened when he as a drug user. These all happened before December when he was getting his treatment." Hayden has reportedly been seeing five psychiatrists and a psychologist since December. A story on gmanews.tv reports that a text message from Kho to Katrina Halili's road manager Omar Bortijas reportedly reads, "Alam mo ang buong istorya kung paano nagsimula ang lahat ng 'to, Omar; and drugs have a lot to do with this." Another one says, "There r [are] 4 videos with kat [Katrina]' I'm not mistaken, 2 dancing, 1 talking, and 1 obscene." Kapunan says Kho denied reports that he had 40 sex videos. Senators who have taken up the cause of going after Kho do not buy his alibi. Senator Bong Revilla who called Kho "a pervert of the highest kind" Wednesday said "Palusot ng magagaling na abogado. Sa korte na lang sila magpaliwanag." Pleading insanity will not work either, said Senator Miriam Santiago: "He has never appeared in pubic [in a way] that has indicated other signs of insanity. He cannot claim that overnight he became insane." Halili didn't care much for Kho's apology either."Dapat hindi lang ganun, di lang pahingi ng tawad. Dapat po siyang parusahan," remarked the actress, who met with the feminist group Gabriela last night to discuss the need for a law to address the problem of protecting the rights of victims of sex scandals as well as plans to put up a support group for them.
